Millions of people visit Türkiye every year to experience its beautiful culture, living history and sacred architecture. Historical mosques offer all of this — and more.
We are a group of young university students who have welcomed visitors from all around the world since 2018, offering free presentations about the mosques, their history, and Islam. You will find our volunteers at the Blue Mosque (Sultanahmet), Hagia Sophia and the New Mosque, ready to answer your questions with open hearts.
We started volunteering at the Blue Mosque as a group of students, in collaboration with the Blue Mosque Association, the Faculty of Theology at Marmara University, and the Presidency of Religious Affairs. Our aim is to bring different cultures together by dissolving the barriers between them, and to offer visitors free, friendly information — hopefully clearing up any misconceptions about Islam and Türkiye along the way.
Whether you are curious about the architecture of an imperial mosque, the meaning of the call to prayer, or daily life in Istanbul, we would be glad to share what we know. Come and say hello.
